Security Engineering
While pure software development focuses on the desired functionality of a system, the focus of security engineering is on preventing potentially unwanted functionality. Vulnerabilities in software can provide attackers with channels to sensitive data, which is especially devastating if software can be accessed via the internet without protection. This can result in the loss of data, denial of service (DoS) attacks, or even a complete takeover of the system.
Our security engineers emphasise future-oriented security architectures which form a reliable basis for our customers’ digital journey. A sound security concept must take into account various aspects such as the use of Cloud services and mobile devices. Of course, security should be effected "by design" and be integrated end to end, from software development to service deployment.
Several decades of experience in security engineering led to the development of our Airlock Secure Access Hub. Airlock provides a secure and efficient web access management system that protects modern web applications and APIs. Strong authentication, single sign-on and protection against attacks to applications such as cross-site scripting (XSS) and SQL injection can thus be implemented centrally and upstream.
