Ergon Informatik AG gains a new majority shareholder in Afinum
Zürich, 14.01.2026 – Press release
Afinum is becoming the new majority shareholder in Ergon Informatik AG, replacing the founder of the company and its long-standing anchor shareholders. This move sees Ergon reshape its ownership and ensure the continuity of its team, offering and strategy – as well as its tried-and-trusted value proposition. With Afinum coming on board, Ergon is also gaining a partner with additional experience in growth, innovation and offer refinement. The management of the company and a large number of its employees will remain involved as shareholders.
Ergon will continue to run its business with its current team and its established offering. Proximity to its customers, a high level of operational readiness and close collaboration will remain at the heart of the activities of the company, paired with a clear-cut value proposition in terms of quality and reliability. This attitude shapes the culture of Ergon with transparency, collaboration, ongoing development and partnership on equal terms.
“With Afinum as a new majority shareholder, we are able to safeguard the continuity of Ergon in the long run. I am delighted to be drawing on this foundation to shape our future, while an unchanged team will carry on supporting our customers within our tried-and-trusted partnership.”
Gabriela Keller, CEO of Ergon Informatik AG
Bolstered by Afinum, Ergon is looking to the future and actively crafting the next steps in the development of the business. The new anchor shareholder brings additional experience to support growth, innovation and the refinement of the offering from the company, with a clear focus on quality, reliability and customer needs. The only change under the new ownership will be the new composition of the Board of Directors.
“As its co-founder, Ergon is much more than a company to me. That is why it was even more important that we put our life’s work in good hands. We feel very positive about entrusting Ergon to Afinum – I am satisfied by this solution on both a strategic and a personal level.”
Theodor Graf, founder and Chair of the Board of Directors of Ergon Informatik AG
