Ergon generated turnover of CHF 78.7 million in the 2024 financial year. The Zurich-based IT service provider and manufacturer of the Airlock® – Secure Access Hub managed to achieve an increase in turnover of 7.4% on the previous year. “Ergon continues to rely on a broad customer portfolio. This variety allows us to drive forward innovative digitalisation projects and strengthen our market position in the long term,” says Gabriela Keller, CEO of Ergon Informatik.

Ergon demonstrates digital excellence in the financial sector

Ergon has had several successes in the financial sector in 2024. With the launch of VIAC Invest, the VIAC platform’s offerings were successfully expanded to include digital asset management. Ergon has supported the pioneering start-up since its founding and is proud of this lasting partnership. Ergon also reviewed the modernisation project of a core application at a leading financial institute and determined critical potential for improvement in the architecture, team structure and change management.

With the CardX payment authorisation solution, Ergon is driving forward progress in the area of payment transactions. Ergon implemented instant payments for eleven Swiss banks and connected another bank to the European SEPA payment system.

Ergon relies on a broad client portfolio

The diverse client portfolio of Ergon meant that the company was involved in projects in a wide variety of sectors in 2024. For example, a major German retailer decided to work with Ergon to modernise their branch inventory management system. Furthermore, Ergon has been working with Axon Lab AG to further develop the medical practice software Axenita, which is already used successfully by over 1,000 medical practices in Switzerland. A range of AI-based functions, like speech-to-text and document intelligence, have now been introduced to various different end customers.

Strong growth with Airlock

Airlock, the security  solution from Ergon, grew significantly in 2024 and gained many new customers  in Europe and the Middle East. Long-standing clients, like SBB, continue to place their trust in the expertise of Airlock and focused on building a stronger partnership over the past year. Customers like the Bühler Group  have chosen to use Airlock Anomaly Shield. The solution uses machine learning to provide effective protection against automated attacks. A particular highlight from the past year was the biggest order in the history of Airlock, which was placed by a Germany-based client.

A positive outlook

Last year marked an important milestone for Ergon – the company celebrated 40 years of success shaped by its innovation and dedication. Ergon has a positive outlook and will continue to focus on achieving sustainable growth through technological excellence and strategic partnerships.
