Best Employers (Handelszeitung & Statista)

The Handelszeitung newspaper teamed up with market researchers Statista to recognise Switzerland’s 250 best employers. Ergon has achieved sixth place in the ICT sector in the ‘Best Employer of 2023’ rankings. In 2022 it was in ninth place. In the overall ranking, Ergon is in 102nd place - also a leap forward compared to 2022 (167th place). The data comes from an independent survey of employees in Switzerland, with overall rankings and analyses based on 200,000 responses.

Swiss Employer Award

In 2021 we were recognised for the third time (after 2018 and 2012) as the best employer in Switzerland. It is also the second time that we won the 250–999 employees category. The Swiss Employer Awards are based on an anonymous survey in which employees are able to rate their employer on relevant factors. Unlike other evaluations, the outcome of Switzerland's largest employee survey is determined not by an expert panel or by university graduates outside of the company, but by the employees themselves, as the true internal experts.

Best of Swiss Web Award

Our customer Axonlab secured bronze in the Technology category at the Best of Swiss Web Awards 2022, winning over the jury with its web-based practice software Axenita. The software eases the day-to-day workload for over 2,000 medical professionals in Switzerland and allows them to concentrate fully on their patients' needs.

In 2019, our customer Crypto Finance AG was awarded silver in the category Technology for its "Order Management and Execution Platform" and its "Asset Trading Portal". Crypto Finance is a blockchain-related fintech company offering professional investors asset management, trading services and storage solutions for crypto assets.

At the 2018 award ceremony, three of our clients won silver: the Liechtensteinische Landesbank LLB with its cross-channel online banking platform in the Technology category, the Inspectorate of Roads of the Canton of Lucerne with its web-based winter road clearance management system WiMS in the Technology category and the startup Viac with Switzerland's first-ever 100% digital solution for retirement planning in the Innovation category.

In 2014, our customer True Wealth, an online asset management company, has just been awarded two Swiss Web Awards: gold in the category "Business" and bronze in the category "Usability". Gold Interactive was responsible for the design; Ergon was the software development partner.

kununu

Ergon has received several awards from the Xing online platform "kununu", most recently in 2018: In cooperation with the online portal Statista, more than 20,000 employees were surveyed, evaluating 250 companies from 21 industries. Ergon achieved 5th place in the Internet, Telecommunications and IT category and 43rd place in the overall ranking.

Already in 2016 kununu awarded Ergon as the most popular employer in Switzerland: "The Zürich-based company, which specialises in computing/IT, has an impressive kununu score of 4.83 points. Employees praise the team spirit and pleasant working environment. An innovative environment with cutting-edge technologies and modern process models make Ergon especially appealing. Overall: an employer with high aspirations, shared by its employees." One year prior to this, Ergon was awarded an accolade from kununu for being the company with the best staff events in Switzerland.

German Industry Award

In 2018, our customer Belimo received the German Industry Award in the category "Energy and Environment" for its cloud-enabled, intelligent Belimo Energy Valve™. The year before, Bossard reached the final in the category "Intralogistics & Production Management" with its "Smart Factory Logistics" methodology.

Best of Swiss Apps

At the Best of Swiss Apps Award Night 2018 our client Viac convinced the jury and received four awards. In the category Business Impact the start-up won gold with its pillar 3a app, in the categories Design and Functionality Viac received silver and in the category Innovation the app was awarded bronze.

Together with our customer Corris, we were delighted to receive the bronze award in the "Enterprise" category at the Best of Swiss Apps 2015. The Corris app helps collect donations: instead of a presentation folder on paper, fundraisers from Corris now use images and film clips on an iPad.

Digital Economy Award

In 2018 the first Digital Economy Award Night (formerly Swiss ICT Award) took place in Zurich. In the category "Highest Digital Quality", our customer Viac received a silver certificate in each of the disciplines UX and Lean, Agile & Scrum. In November 2017, the start-up launched Switzerland's first fully digitized pillar 3a app.

Best of Corporate Publishing Award

In Europe's biggest competition in the field of corporate publishing and content marketing, our anniversary brochure "The Engineer is King" won gold in 2015. The jury remarked that the brochure not only created "an appetite for the job of the IT engineer" but that is also "showed how creative and exciting jobs in the so-called MINT sector (mathematics, information sciences, natural sciences and technology) can be".

Great Place to Work

In 2014, we were awarded second place in the international Great Place to Work Award in the category of medium-sized enterprises. This was based in part (two-thirds) on an employee survey and in part (one-third) on a culture audit, which was carried out by the Great Place to Work institute. 77 companies took part and 24 received an accolade in three categories.

ICT Education and Training Award

The Swiss Association for ICT Professional Training awarded the "ICT Education and Training Award" to the best companies for apprenticeships and traineeship schemes. In 2012, we won the award in the SME category, ahead of Bibus AG and Formalease Sàrl from the French-speaking part of Switzerland.

Dialogue about equal pay

Ergon was one of the first companies to successfully conclude the dialogue about equal pay in 2011. One of the key points of our corporate culture is transparency. Thanks to this, all employees are aware of all salaries and judge them as fair. The dialogue about equal pay confirmed to us that the requirement for equality has now been fulfilled.

Prix Egalité

In 2011, we won the "Medium-Sized Enterprise" category of the Prix Egalité Award. KV Switzerland awards this prize to companies that excel in the field of equality in the workplace.

SwissICT Champion Award

In 2008, we received the SwissICT Champion Award, an accolade for first-class ICT services provided by companies in Switzerland.

The SwissICT Awards are presented each year by SwissICT, a leading association for information and communication technology, as well as the specialist journal InfoWeek.
