Application development taster days

General information

Ergon runs regular taster days for secondary school students. These one-day courses give students an insight into the application development apprenticeship and allow them to try their hand at programming. We carry out simple programming exercises using Scratch, a graphical user interface developed specifically to help young people get started in programming. The taster days are organised and run by our apprentices.

It is pleasing that interest has risen steadily in recent years and that more and more girls are coming along to the taster days.

A report on our taster days can be found in computerworld, September 2008 (in German)

Next Taster Days, Contact and Applications

The date for the next Taster Day will be published in a few days.

For the taster days we need a written application with a CV and a brief explanation of why you are interested in attending a taster day. You can send us your application by post or email.

The taster days are not part of our selection process for apprenticeship.

If you have any questions about taster days or the application process, please contact our apprentice team schnupperlehre @ ergon.ch
