Zurich, October 30, 2005. Ergon is again present at this year FinanceForum, as usual as partner of Sun Microsystems. We again participated with a veritable team at the Sponsorenlauf.

Zurich, September 2006. The seventh annual Beer, Bytes, and Beats party is coming up fast. This traditional easy-going Ergon party, complete with live music, hors d'oeuvres, pleasant conversation and shop-talk, will assure you the finest club atmosphere for the whole evening. Come on Thursday, September 28, 2006, starting at 6pm to Arterstrasse 24 - and visit our new building.

Zurich, July 2006. Ergon found a second location at Arterstrasse 24, also close to Kreuzplatz, as the building at Kleinstrasse 15 became too small in the last few months. The teams Telecom and Business Applications stay at Kleinstrasse. The teams Finance and Industry Solutions is now located at Arterstrasse. It is a walk of 5 minutes to get to the other building. Kleinstrasse 15 remains the headquarter and is our postal address.

Berne, July 8, 2006. Ergon has attended already for the fifth time at Gigathlon. This year it was a 24 hours race from Geneva to Berne on bicycle, bike, with swimming, inline and jogging. Marc Ellenberger, Gabriela Keller, Florian Nussberger, David Spuhler and Vera Vögele reached Berne with a lot of fun. Our team member from the previous races Friedrich Oesch participated even as a couple.

Almost one million people in Switzerland travel every day by train. For their always more complex needs, SBB wanted a new, modern device with a innovative software solution and fully integrated in the SBB network. Ergon became software partner in summer 2003 - and exactly two years later the first devices were in productive usage. The train personnel sells with devices tickets as he would be in the counter and the new electronic tickets can be checked in a split second.

Zürich, 6. März 2006. Die Zukunft der heutigen Ticketsysteme und Ticketautomaten im öffentlichen Verkehr wird durch eine neue, leistungsfähigere Gerätegeneration geprägt. Ein Ticketautomat ist ein hochkomplexes System, das ausgeklügelte und sich schnell ändernde Tarifmodelle unterstützen muss. Die Integration der unterschiedlichen Zahlungssysteme und der zahlreichen Schnittstellen zu Umsystemen ist sehr anspruchsvoll. Die differenzierten Anforderungen der verschiedenen Verkehrsverbunde und -strukturen erhöhen die Komplexität zusätzlich.

Zurich, January 2006. MESPAS AG runs a very distributed solution for shipping companies to manage their ship equipment including a trading platform. Ergon implemented a client for the ships that works offline and that can be synchronized periodically. The module "Planned Maintenance" allows the ship crew to easily plan and document their maintenance work.
