Allianz Suisse

With a premium volume of some CHF 3.8 billion, Allianz Suisse is one of Switzerland's most important insurers, for both property and life insurance. Allianz Suisse puts its trust in our security components Medusa and Airlock for the B2B channel.

AMAG

Some 4700 staff from the various divisions VW, Skoda, Audi, SEAT and Porsche are responsible for looking after customers under the umbrella of the AMAG Group. AMAG asked Ergon to partner it for the maintenance and further development of its garage-based IT infrastructure. This infrastructure encompasses software components in Java and .NET, linking the 83 garages owned by AMAG and the some 500 partner firms to the works systems of the Volkswagen Group in Wolfsburg. Specific issues include warranty handling, software distribution for vehicles, the electronic parts catalogue or operating procedures.

ASTRA

Since being founded in 1998, the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO) has acted as Switzerland's authority for road infrastructure and individual highway traffic. To fulfil the high demands on winter road clearance , the roads inspectorate of the canton of Lucerne and FEDRO asked Ergon and Kelag to develop a special software solution tailored to their needs. This helps the staff responsible for keeping the country's roads clear in winter with their task, so ensuring optimum traffic conditions on the federal and cantonal highways. The efficient use of snowploughs and gritters reduces costs and improves road safety.

AugustaKom

AugustaKom emerged as the first private telecommunications company in Swabia. It was founded in June 1997 in Augsburg by seven partners: Stadtwerke Augsburg, Kreissparkasse and Stadtsparkasse Augsburg, LEW, Presse-Druck- und Verlags GmbH, Bayernwerk Netkom GmbH, and Bayerische Landesbank. The foremost goal of AugustaKom is the further construction and operation of its ultra-modern fibre optic network, the basis of the company's convenient and innovative telecommunication services. AugustaKom utilizes Ergon's Customer Care and Billing Suite.

Avaloq

Ergon's web application firewall (WAF) Airlock offers Avaloq, Switzerland's market leader for integrated banking software, strong protection from attack for its web-based applications, so making its Internet services even more secure for customers and partners.

AXA Bank

As a direct bank without a branch network of its own, AXA Bank offers its services at attractive conditions. For its online banking operations AXA Bank deploys the e-banking solution from Finnova. Ergon has implemented a web application with which new customers can open their accounts directly at the bank. The application automatically forwards the user data for the opening of the customer account to the Finnova banking system.

Barclays

Barclays is a huge financial service provider in Europe. Barclays Bank has started up an Internet banking service in Switzerland based on Avaloq. In a joint venture with Comit and Netcetera, Ergon contributed the security architecture and authentication based on the authentication solution Medusa and Airlock. Once more Ergon was thus able to prove its competence and efficiency in implementing security requirements for high security access to web applications in a portal.

Basler Versicherung

Basler Versicherungen and Baloise Bank SoBa operate jointly as a focused financial services provider, acting here as a combination of bank and insurer. In Switzerland they are a key supplier of integrated solutions for insurance, pensions and capital formation for private individuals as well as small and medium-sized enterprises. Basler Versicherungen protects its entire online channel with our security components Medusa and Airlock.

Belimo

Belimo is a technology company quoted on the stock market which employs around 1000 people worldwide. It has been developing, manufacturing and selling electric drives for air vents and fittings for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems since 1975. With its extensive product range, Belimo is a world leader in this niche market.

In 2006 Ergon evaluated a number of different embedded devices on behalf of Belimo in a feasibility study. Since then the embedded platform Belimo sharedlogic has been developed, which Belimo will be launching this year. This embedded platform is a modular system which provides the basic functions for the development of Java-based automatic control systems for building services components.

Blaser

Ergon produced a solution for customer service and for monitoring lubricating coolants for Blaser Swisslub AG, a global supplier of lubricating coolants and lubricants. The system consists of a mobile client and a web application. Ergon consistently used MDA methods to specify, model and create this application. The main focus in development lies in modelling and no longer in specific coding.

BMW

The BMW Mobile Service uses the Ergon solution for the disposition of the breakdown vans. In a breakdown case BMW drivers contact by phone the call center operated by ELVIA. The closest available van is automatically located and contacted by GPRS or SMS. Every driver has its own PDA and is always in contact with the head office. The orders are received in realtime and can be accepted or denied. Right in the field the driver can enter additional information and send it to the head office. The head office always knows where available breakdown vans are and is capable to optimally schedule.

Compass Group

Compass Group is a leading global services provider in the field of commercial catering and support services with 360,000 employees around the world and customers in 64 countries. Ergon’s software solution Zebra for personnel planning, timekeeping and access management is also deployed by the catering service provider Compass Group.

Coop

Ergon developed the core software for personnel planning, time recording and access management for the retailing giant Coop. The system has been running since July 2006 and manages daily personnel placement for about 45,000 Coop employees spread over 2,500 cost centres with 1,500 outlets. With over 1,000 simultaneous users the solution fulfils high scaling requirements.Over 70 per cent of all Swiss households collect Superpoints when shopping. They own the Supercard, the Coop customer loyalty card. Customers may consult one of the approx. 850 Superboxes to access their current points total or to exchange bonus points. This touch-screen device can be found in many Coop stores. The software partner for the Superbox is Ergon.

Coutts Bank von Ernst

Coutts Bank von Ernst is a member of the Coutts Group, itself part of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, founded in 1727 and today one of the largest banking groups in the world. We are proud to belong to this leading financial institution. Ergon developped a Java applikation for the generation of scratch-lists for customer authentication for the Coutts Bank.

Credit Suisse

Credit Suisse is a first-class financial services company for both private and corporate customers. Credit Suisse provides valuable services in traditional and electronic distribution channels and offers bancassurance solutions in Switzerland.

Credit Suisse and Ergon Informatik AG have enjoyed years of tight cooperation. In Fall 1996, Ergon received the contract to implement Direct Net, the first Internet banking solution in Switzerland and shortly after followed the discount broker Youtrade. Over the past years followed the Internet-Banking for External Asset Managers in Frankfurt, Guernsey and on Bahamas, core components for the Inverstors Circle of CS Financial Services and diverse consulting mandates in the Direct Net area.

CSS

As Switzerland's second largest health insurer, the CSS Group shares joint political responsibility for health policy. The CSS Group champions competitive health insurance and a caring, supportive and efficient health system for the benefit of its policyholders, whether families, individuals or companies. The group uses our security components Medusa and Airlock to protect its customer portal.

Deutsche Telefon Standard AG

Deutsche Telefon Standard AG is the only supplier in Germany to specialise exclusively in IP Centrex-based telephone systems for SMEs. Here the conventional telephone system is replaced by a network service. In order to meet the high demand for efficient and top-class telecommunication services, the company relies on the two Ergon solutions Taifun and TelcoBill for service fulfilment and billing.

DZ PRIVATBANK

DZ PRIVATBANK Schweiz opens up the quality of the Swiss finance centre with its distinguished performance, long tradition and broad experience, widespread know-how and innovation to a european platform.

For DZ PRVIATBANK Ergon has built the new web base depot view for customers and external asset managers. Ergon has not only defined the concept but also realised the complete security solution on the basis of the Web Application Firewall Airlock and the Authentication and Authorization Services Framework (EAAS, predecessor of the autentication solution Medusa).

Eidgenössische Finanzverwaltung

Ergon implemented a solution for service charges between administration units for the Bund EFV (Swiss Tax). This web application promotes transparency for the internal service charges between around 70 federal administration units and thus provides support for finance budgeting on a national level.

Entris

Entris Banking is a partnership organisation of Swiss regional banks that allows banks and financial services providers to perform extensive business process outsourcing. Entris Banking protects the online banking systems of its banks with the security components Airlock and Medusa, so offering customers a flexible choice between authentication methods tailored to their needs.

Finnova

Finnova AG provides the financial institutions in the Finnova group with complete bank software solutions. In fall 1998, Ergon was contracted to develop an application for Internet banking and market trading. This application was deployed at the participatory banks (Schwyzer Kantonalbank, Urner Kantonalbank, Schaffhauser Kantonalbank, Esprit-Banken) in fall 1999. In 2006 Graubündner Kantonalbank and Säntis Banken will be implemented as new customers. Since then Ergon is ordered with further developments.

Ergon has developed an e-banking app in cooperation with Finnova, several banks and the Swiss Design Institute for Finance and Banking (SDFB). It allows customers to check their accounts and balance or obtain an overview of their portfolio.

IG B2B

In 2003 a number of brokers and insurance companied founded the interest group IG B2B for Insurers + Brokers. The association actively assists the realisation of B2B projects within the Swiss brokerage market, offering its members services which support electronic business transactions.

One of the association’s key projects is the development of an identity platform (IDP) to promote electronic business transactions between insurance brokers and insurance companies. In future, the approx. 1,000 brokerage firms registered in Switzerland will be able to identify themselves securely via the joint platform with a single ID token and login when accessing the web portals of various insurance companies. Ergon was appointed as software supplier with our proven authentication server Medusa in combination with the web application firewall Airlock.

inside-it

inside-it.ch and inside-channels.ch provide news and analyses to the Swiss IT community in a refreshing manner. Together with Netcetera Ergon has built parts of the system. Ergon is responsible for the operation and the security of the system.

Julius Bär

The Julius Baer Group is the leading Swiss private banking group, with a focus on servicing and advising private clients. Bank Julius Baer, the renowned Swiss private bank with origins dating back to 1890, is the principal operating company of Julius Baer Group. Ergon advised Julius Bär strategically with their company wide portal.

Liechtensteinische Landesbank

Liechtensteinische Landesbank (LLB) was founded in 1861, and is the longest established financial institute in the Principality of Liechtenstein. Ergon is a strategic partner in Internet banking for the LLB, which is the only bank that insists exclusively on a rich client, i.e. an independent application to be installed on the PC. Besides being extremely user-friendly, this solution also stands out due to its immunity to phishing attacks.

When it switched over to the Avaloq banking system in early 2011, LLB continued to rely on a Java Rich Client solution developed by Ergon to meet its high standards of security and ease of use.

Litecom AG

Litecom AG is an established Anbieter of telecom service for major customers on the Swiss market. For service fulfilment and billing of their wholesale VoIP products Litephone Litecom trusts in Taifun of Ergon.

Mespas

As Mespas’ technology partner Ergon have been developing the software system mespas R5 since 2004. The system provides a whole range of functions for modern fleet management and simplifies work for the shipping companies and on board ship dramatically.

The only provider in the world, Mespas runs the applications via a central server and also manages the data on behalf of its customers. Using software as a service allows ships, shipping companies and their suppliers to access the data they need via a client, without having to maintain the data and programs themselves. mespas R5 is being developed all the time and is already in use on board 450 ships worldwide.

MeteoSchweiz

MeteoSwiss is a national weather service and performs meteorological services for the general public, businesses, and public institutions. Ergon has supported MeteoSwiss with various services time and time again. For example Ergon participated in the development of one of the first Swiss MMS services, launched in July 2002 in cooperation with Sunrise. During later development, the product palette was expanded broadly and in 2003 Ergon developed the first interactive weather application for mobile devices.

Migros

The Transport Logistics Division of the Migros-Genossenschafts-Bundes (MGB) is the competence centre within the Migros Group for national and international transport logistics. In order to provide optimum support for the complex processes within the transport chain, and to boost transparency along the supply chain, MGB commissioned Ergon to develop the tailored application MTWeb. The core elements include the administrative module for orders, the active monitoring of transportation, the communications and monitoring module as well as the control module for master data administration.

In autumn 2009, Ergon’s software solution Zebra has also been adopted by Migros. Zebra is a modern system for personnel planning, timekeeping and access management and is running in four associations.

 

M-net

M-net Telekommunikations GmbH is a Bavarian network operator supplying the Greater Munich, Nuremberg and Augsburg regions with communication technology that can handle the challenges of the future. Many other Bavarian towns and cities are also connected to the network in Upper Bavaria, Franconia, the Allgäu, Swabia and the Upper Palatinate. In the areas which M-net covers, it specializes in meeting business and private customers' communication requirements by providing Internet, voice and transmission services. M-net's local focus guarantees that customers benefit from individual solutions, short decision pathways and excellent service 'on the doorstep'.

Ergon developed the central system for customer/order management and billing for M-net on the basis of Taifun.

mobilezone com

mobilezone com is present in Switzerland as a switchless reseller (i.e. a reseller without its own telecom infrastructure) and sells fixed network telephony services (preselection) and ADSL products, which it buys in from established telecom companies. mobilezone com uses the Taifun Service Fulfilment & Billing Suite.

Novartis

Novartis is a leading Pharma company, for that Ergon developed in 2004 and 2005 the project LISA Literature Search. This search engine is specialized for the detection of relevant documents in the web and the extraction of Meta data for the search and indexing.

Oak Foundation

Oak Foundation commits its resources to address issues of global social and environmental concern, particularly those that have a major impact on the lives of the disadvantaged.

In 2010 Oak built together with Ergon a software solution to administrate their complex workflow of project sponsoring.

Obergericht Kanton Zürich

Around 1100 employees of the various courts of the Canton of Zurich work with sensitive data on a daily basis. Since the summer of 2007 they have also been able to access internal court applications via the internet from home or while out and about. Secure access here is essential, well-protected from unauthorised persons. The software solution which makes this possible is based on FirePass from F5 and the authentication server Medusa.

Orell Füssli Sicherheitsdruck

Orell Füssli Security Printing is the home of highly secure banknotes, identity papers, security documents and brand protection systems. Ergon developed in 2004 a web application for the administration of customer specific products.

Post

Ergon developed for BTL Logistics, a subsidiary of PostLogistics, a tracking solution to trace senders with minimal technical equipment and distinctively lower acquisition and running costs. BTL was bought by PostLogistics that continues using this service.

Rahn & Bodmer

Rahn & Bodmer is Zurich's premier private bank and a wholly independent institution. For over 250 years the active commitment of all the bank's owners and partners the most important feature.

Ergon has realized together with its partners Netcetera and Comit an eService-Platform for Avaloq that is running at Rahn&Bodmer since July 2004. The flexible Reporting component allows Rahn&Bodmer to create web reports on its own.

RDM

RDM Systeme AG offers its customers innovative, high-quality software solutions that facilitate the wiring of telephone and computing cables within buildings, from installation to maintenance. Ergon developed the core product KMS Quattro, a communications-management system that manages arbitrarily much wiring in the computing, signal, and long-distance cable areas. It is installed at ca. 20 different locations in Europe.

Ringier

Ergon developed together with Previon a system for the administration of services and the sales of images based on Taifun Service Fulfilment & Billing Suite and the JET software factory. In parallel the Ergon Security experts consultanted for the construction of a centralized user directory at Ringier.

Roche

Roche is a leading healthcare company with an exceedingly broad spectrum of innovative solutions. For more than 100 years, Roche has actively participated in the research, development, and distribution of novel health products. We developed for the Safety & Environment Protection and Waste Reacquisition departments various database applications that have been continuously maintained. In 2006 we implemented a document management system for the department with a role concept and fulltext retrieval. In 2007 the new risk inventory application for risk description and analysis became productive. With this system upgrade measures can be initiated and tracked.

RUAG

In conjunction with Ergon RUAG has developed a system called Panther, which supports and coordinates the emergency services in the planning and management of major events, such as the World Economic Forum, May Day demonstrations or EURO 2008.

The Panther system consists of a number of different components. The response centre uses a management and planning application based on Rich Client technology. The response teams on the front line carry a mobile device equipped with GPS, which provides them with all relevant information about their current location. This enables all those involved to view exactly who is where on their monitor. If necessary the response managers can store the map material with customised data. In addition, a built-in messaging system ensures that all those involved in the response effort can communicate and coordinate with one another seamlessly.

SAP

Paynet is Europe's leading provider of Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP) systems. For the implementation of the web-based services, Paynet relies completely on the Trusted Internet Application Framework (TIAF), developed by Ergon. In fall 2001, Paynet was taken over by SAP, which now also uses the proven Ergon technology in its EBPP systems.

Schweizerische Bundesbahnen

The Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) is the largest Swiss services company in the public transport area. Ergon has built the complete software for the new mobile terminals of their train crews, used since June 2005.Further mobile applications followed, inter alia a solution for process optimisation and to boost efficiency on building sites. This solution uses decentralised mobile terminals to access the presence and absences of employees, working and operating hours, material deliveries and transport or expenses and management reports, and stores this information in the central SAP R/3.

The trains of the Schweizerische Bundesbahnen (SBB) have been running to the 2010 timetable since December 2009. Ergon played a key role in the development of the software used to prepare this timetable together with the project partners Netcetera and NOSE. NeTS provides planners with graphical and tabular tools. Every journey is calculated on the basis of distance and technical and topographical parameters. The applica- tion is used to plan all additional and replacement trains as well as diversions and other short-term changes. NeTS also supports the planning of maintenance work and the booking of journeys.

Soliswiss

Soliswiss is a Solidarity Fund for Swiss Nationals Abroad and offers insurance and finance solutions. Ergon has developed in 2005 in only four month an internet application for customers to use those services over the internet and in 2006/2007 a content management system to manage the customers.

Stadtantennen AG Baar

Since 1971 STADTANTENNEN AG provides a broad range of telecom services for the region Baar, Inwil and Sihlbrugg. STAG uses the Taifun solution for the handling of phone, internet and digital tv servies.

Stadtbus Chur

Ergon has been developing the software for the driver’s ticket issuing device for Chur city buses. In this project Ergon was the supplier for the main contractor, Fela, who was responsible for providing the hardware. The project is the first to implement the S-POS-C standard in Switzerland. An important feature in the solution is the RFID-based remote ticketing using the Graubünden/Engadin-Card.

Sun Microsystems

Ergon produced a Web-DAV based rich client on behalf of Sun Microsystems, which contains a customised function for synchronising documents and their metadata. Sun uses the client worldwide for internal knowledge management and as a platform for document exchange with its clients.

sunrise

Sunrise offers various services for mobile communication, Internet access, and fixed networks for voice, data, and multimedia exchange. Ergon works with Sunrise as a partner in the mobile and Internet services areas. In 2005 Ergon built the «sunrise cost manager», a Telecom Expense and Inventory Management Solution based on Ergons product TelcoBill.

Swisscom IT Services

Swisscom IT Services AG is one of the leading Swiss companies for information technology. Ergon has developed for Swisscom IT Services AG a new ATM/bancomat transaction server. After the acquisition of Comit in 2006 Swisscom IT Services sourced out all its activities for the finance sector to Comit. Since June 2011 Comit is Swisscom IT Services Finance AG.

Swisscom Solutions

Ergon developed a central order management platform for Swisscom Solutions. The platform adopts a universal approach which completely covers customers, products and service delivery units.

Swisslife

Rentenanstalt/Swiss Life is the oldest Swiss private life-insurance corporation. In early 2002, Ergon developed a 'WYSIWIG' XML editor as a Java Bean in a mere 5 weeks. Since then Ergon supports Swisslife within several projects. Parts of the internet portal are protected by Airlock and an Ergon authorisation solution.

Swissperform

Swissperform cares about the rights on payments of artists, program- and audiovision producers and broadcasting services. They often can not overview their own rights. These financial claims were perceived collectively by Swissperform. In 2003 Ergon built a complex and distributed Java application for the administration of the rights and the detailed disposition of the collected money.

Swiss Re

Swiss Re is one of the leading global reinsurers. Java Table Tool by Ergon is used eg. to administrate, inventory and manage financially the complete telecom infrastructure worldwide. Ergon supports Swiss Re in several time critical projects with profound Java Know-how.

telenet

telenet is an important telecom service provider in Belgium and uses TelcoBill for Telecom Bill Presenment, Analysis and Management.

UBS

Headquartered in Zurich and Basel, Switzerland, UBS is a client-focused financial services firm that offers a combination of wealth management, asset management and investment banking services on a global and regional basis.

Ergon developed for the telecom department of UBS the workflow, inventory and billing system WIBS. WIBS enables network services to be transparently, efficiently, and competitively accounted and billed for. The application is based on a webbased order management system, on a inventory system and on a data warehouse that models detailed cost data down to the level of employee and cost event.

UPC Austria

UPC Austria is a leading service provider for internet, TV and telephony in Austria and is a subsidiary company of Liberty Global, Inc. and part of UPC Broadband Division. UPC uses Taifun as overall billing solution for its business to business services and Taifun Wholesale portal for its B2B resellers.

upc cablecom

upc cablecom is Switzerland’s largest cable network operator. They provide a wide range of services to customers, including analog and digital television, digital radio, broadband Internet access and telephony. upc cablecom also offers special packages for business customers. Combined with their partner networks, upc cablecom serves approximately 2 million households. upc cablecom and its partner operators currently have a share of approximately 73% of the Swiss cable television market. They have a major presence in 14 of the 16 largest Swiss cities.

upc cablecom uses the complete Ergon Customer Care and Billing Suite Taifun for its business customers. Ergon also engineered the number portability service for the fixnet private customers. This solution covers the communication between the central Swiss number portability server and the order managment of upc cablecom.

UPC Ireland

UPC Ireland is a service provider for internet, TV and telephony in Ireland and is a subsidiary company of UPC Broadband. UPC Ireland uses Taifun for service fulfilment and as overall billing solution for its business to business services.

UPC PT Netherlands

UPC PT Netherlands is a leading service provider for internet, TV and telephony in Netherland and is a subsidiary company of Liberty Global, Inc. and part of UPC Broadband Division. UPC PT Netherlands uses Taifun for service fulfilment and TelcoBillas overall billing solution for its SOHO/SME business to business services.

UPC Romania

UPC Romania is a leading service provider for internet, TV and telephony in Rumania and is a subsidiary company of UPC Broadband. UPC Romania uses Taifun for service fulfilment and as overall billing solution for its business to business services.

VBZ

In 2006 Ergon received two consultancy mandates from VBZ Züri-Linie, the Zurich transport network – one as a consultant for the acquisition of the new S-POS system (Self-Service Point of Sale) and the other for the compilation of the requirements specification for software for planning work shift schedules.

Versatel

Versatel AG is one of the leading alternative suppliers of telecommunications services in Germany. Ergon implemented for Tesion, today Versatel Süd-Deutschland, in 1998 in a record time of only 7 months a complete order-entry, customer-billing, and intercarrier-billing solution. Since then further products came in addition and are partially company-wide in use, above all the online billing system based on Ergons product TelcoBill - an innovative alternative to conventional paper invoices.

Visana

Visana is one of Switzerland’s leading health and accident insurers. The company also offers its customers a wide variety of services via the internet. Security is writ large here. In order to ensure maximum protection from unauthorised third-party access, Visana has placed its trust in the combination of the authentication server Medusa with the web application firewall Airlock.

Vontobel

Bank Vontobel AG is owned by the Vontobel Group, an internationally operating Swiss private bank. Vontobel specialises in asset management for private clients, institutional investors and investment banking. To satisfy the high demands for IT security, Vontobel uses the Medusa authentication server from Ergon for the central authentication and authorisation of users. Airlock, Ergon's web application firewall (WAF), is also in service at the company, ensuring protection for all associated applications.

VP Bank

VP Bank is a leading Liechtenstein private bank and offers comprehensive products and services - from private banking and institutional asset management to corporate business and a wide range of investment funds. Ergon has supported VP Bank in developing its CRM system and is also involved in different other projects, especially with database know-how.

Wasserwerke Zug

Wasserwerke Zug AG (WWZ) has implemented Ergon's Taifun solution so that it can offer telephony, Internet and digital television services from one single source to more than 70,000 customers. This tailored solution has made it possible to simplify the existing system landscape at WWZ and what is more, consolidation on the Taifun system has also cut operating costs.

Zurich

Zurich Financial Services Group offers sophisticated solutions and services for risk coverage and forehandedness.Zurich Financial Services Group (Zurich) is a financial services provider with roots in the insurance business. The company, which was founded in 1872 and is headquartered in Zurich, employs some 60,000 people around the world. These render services in over 170 countries.

Zurich commissioned Ergon to develop the operating software for the Global Risk Assessment Module (GLORAM). The application provides a clear, attractive and intuitive 3D depiction of complex risk associations. The interactive tool currently offers a conceptual and analytical framework for the assessment of 24 global risks. In addition, it simulates the impact of a constantly changing risk landscape for 160 different countries.Ergon worked on the 3D visualisation of data in order to analyse complexe coherence.
