AugustaKom emerged as the first private telecommunications company in Swabia. It was founded in June 1997 in Augsburg by seven partners: Stadtwerke Augsburg, Kreissparkasse and Stadtsparkasse Augsburg, LEW, Presse-Druck- und Verlags GmbH, Bayernwerk Netkom GmbH, and Bayerische Landesbank. The foremost goal of AugustaKom is the further construction and operation of its ultra-modern fibre optic network, the basis of the company's convenient and innovative telecommunication services. AugustaKom utilizes Ergon's Customer Care and Billing Suite.
Barclays is a huge financial service provider in Europe. Barclays Bank has started up an Internet banking service in Switzerland based on Avaloq. In a joint venture with Comit and Netcetera, Ergon contributed the security architecture and authentication based on the Medusa Framework and Airlock. Once more Ergon was thus able to prove its competence and efficiency in implementing security requirements for high security access to web applications in a portal.
Belimo is a listed technology company with a staff of about 1000 worldwide. They have developed, manufactured and distributed electric actuators for air dampers and valve technology for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems since 1975. With its comprehensive range of products, Belimo has become world leaders in this specific market.
Ergon evaluated for Belimo different embedded devices in a feasibility study. Today there are Java embedded devices available on the market which fulfil the requirements for industrial use. Ergon is now using such devices to complete the first Java embedded project.
Ergon produced a solution for customer service and for monitoring lubricating coolants for Blaser Swisslub AG, a global supplier of lubricating coolants and lubricants. The system consists of a mobile client and a web application. Ergon consistently used MDA methods to specify, model and create this application. The main focus in development lies in modelling and no longer in specific coding.
The BMW Mobile Service uses the Ergon solution for the disposition of the breakdown vans. In a breakdown case BMW drivers contact by phone the call center operated by ELVIA. The closest available van is automatically located and contacted by GPRS or SMS. Every driver has its own PDA and is always in contact with the head office. The orders are received in realtime and can be accepted or denied. Right in the field the driver can enter additional information and send it to the head office. The head office always knows where available breakdown vans are and is capable to optimally schedule.
Cablecom is Switzerland’s largest cable network operator. They provide a wide range of services to customers, including analog and digital television, digital radio, broadband Internet access and telephony. Cablecom also offers special packages for business customers. Combined with their partner networks, Cablecom serves approximately 2 million households. Cablecom and its partner operators currently have a share of approximately 73% of the Swiss cable television market. They have a major presence in 14 of the 16 largest Swiss cities.
Cablecom uses the complete Ergon Customer Care and Billing Suite Taifun for its business customers. Ergon also engineered the number portability service for the fixnet private customers. This solution covers the communication between the central Swiss number portability server and the order managment of Cablecom.
Ergon developed the core software for personnel placement planning and staff work-time logging for the retailing giant Coop. The system has been running since July 2006 and manages daily personnel placement for about 45,000 Coop employees spread over 2,500 cost centres with 1,500 outlets. With over 1,000 simultaneous users the solution fulfils high scaling requirements.
Coutts Bank von Ernst is a member of the Coutts Group, itself part of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, founded in 1727 and today one of the largest banking groups in the world. We are proud to belong to this leading financial institution. In beginning of 2005 Ergon developped a Java applikation for the generation of scratch-lists for customer authentication.
Credit Suisse is a first-class financial services company for both private and corporate customers. Credit Suisse provides valuable services in traditional and electronic distribution channels and offers bancassurance solutions in Switzerland.
Credit Suisse and Ergon Informatik AG have enjoyed years of tight cooperation. In Fall 1996, Ergon received the contract to implement Direct Net, the first Internet banking solution in Switzerland. In 1999 followed the discount broker Youtrade.

Als einziger Anbieter in Deutschland hat sich die Deutsche Telefon Standard AG (DTSt.) ausschliesslich auf IP-Centrex-basierte Telefonsysteme spezialisiert. Dabei wird die konventionelle Telefonanlage durch einen Netzdienst ersetzt. Beim Service Fulfillment und Billing setzt DTSt. die beiden Ergon-Lösungen Taifun und TelcoBill ein.
DZ PRIVATBANK Schweiz opens up the quality of the Swiss finance centre with its distinguished performance, long tradition and broad experience, widespread know-how and innovation to a european platform.
For DZ PRVIATBANK Ergon has built the new web base depot view for customers and external asset managers. Ergon has not only defined the concept but also implemented the complete security solution on the basis of AirLocks of Seclutions and the Ergon Authentication and Authorization Services Framework (EAAS).
Finnova AG provides the financial institutions in the Finnova group with complete bank software solutions. In fall 1998, Ergon was contracted to develop an application for Internet banking and market trading. This application was deployed at the participatory banks (Schwyzer Kantonalbank, Urner Kantonalbank, Schaffhauser Kantonalbank, Esprit-Banken) in fall 1999. In 2006 Graubündner Kantonalbank and Säntis Banken will be implemented as new customers.
Ergon is a strategic partner in Internet banking for the Liechtensteinische Landesbank (LLB). The LLB is the only bank to insist exclusively on a rich client, i.e. an independent application to be installed on the PC. Besides being extremely user-friendly, this solution also stands out due to its immunity to phishing attacks.
MeteoSwiss is a national weather service and performs meteorological services for the general public, businesses, and public institutions. Ergon has supported MeteoSwiss with various services time and time again. Most recently, Ergon participated in the development of one of the first Swiss MMS services, launched in July 2002 in cooperation with Sunrise. During later development, the product palette was expanded broadly. The service has been supported by Swisscom, Sunrise and Orange since early 2003.
M-net Telekommunikations GmbH is a Bavarian network operator supplying the Greater Munich, Nuremberg and Augsburg regions with communication technology that can handle the challenges of the future. Many other Bavarian towns and cities are also connected to the network in Upper Bavaria, Franconia, the Allgäu, Swabia and the Upper Palatinate. In the areas which M-net covers, it specializes in meeting business and private customers' communication requirements by providing Internet, voice and transmission services. M-net's local focus guarantees that customers benefit from individual solutions, short decision pathways and excellent service 'on the doorstep'.
Ergon developed the central system for customer/order management and billing for M-net on the basis of Taifun.
mobilezone com is present in Switzerland as a switchless reseller (i.e. a reseller without its own telecom infrastructure) and sells fixed network telephony services (preselection) and ADSL products, which it buys in from established telecom companies. mobilezone com uses the Taifun Service Fulfilment & Billing Suite.

Ergon has realized together with its partners Netcetera and Comit an eService-Platform for Avaloq that is running at Rahn&Bodmer since July 2004. The flexible Reporting component allows Rahn&Bodmer to create web reports on its own.
RDM Systeme AG offers its customers innovative, high-quality software solutions that facilitate the wiring of telephone and computing cables within buildings, from installation to maintenance. Ergon developed the core product KMS Quattro, a communications-management system that manages arbitrarily much wiring in the computing, signal, and long-distance cable areas. It is installed at ca. 20 different locations in Europe.
Ergon developed together with Previon a system for the administration of services and the sales of images based on Taifun Service Fulfilment & Billing Suite and the JET software factory.
In parallel the Ergon Security experts are consultants for the construction of a centralized user directory at Ringier.
Roche is a leading healthcare company with an exceedingly broad spectrum of innovative solutions. For more than 100 years, Roche has actively participated in the research, development, and distribution of novel health products. We developed for the Safety & Environment Protection and Waste Reacquisition departments various database applications that have been continuously maintained. In 2006 we implemented a document management system for the department with a role concept and fulltext retrieval. In 2007 the new risk inventory application for risk description and analysis became productive. With this system upgrade measures can be initiated and tracked.
Paynet is Europe's leading provider of Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP) systems. For the implementation of the web-based services, Paynet relies completely on the Trusted Internet Application Framework (TIAF), developed by Ergon. In fall 2001, Paynet was taken over by SAP, which now also uses the proven Ergon technology in its EBPP systems.
The Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) is the largest Swiss services company in the public transport area. Ergon has built the complete software for the new mobile terminals of their train crews, used since June 2005. In the train stations the train shunting crews order the tracks for the train composition with a mobile solution done by Ergon.
Ergon has been developing the software for the driver’s ticket issuing device for Chur city buses. In this project Ergon was the supplier for the main contractor, Fela, who was responsible for providing the hardware. The project is the first to implement the S-POS-C standard in Switzerland. An important feature in the solution is the RFID-based remote ticketing using the Graubünden/Engadin-Card.
Sunrise offers various services for mobile communication, Internet access, and fixed networks for voice, data, and multimedia exchange. Ergon works with Sunrise as a partner in the mobile and Internet services areas. In 2005 Ergon built the «sunrise cost manager», a Telecom Expense and Inventory Management Solution based on Ergons product TelcoBill.
Swisscom IT Services AG is one of the leading Swiss companies for information technology. Ergon has developed for Swisscom IT Services AG a new ATM/bancomat transaction server. After the acquisition of COMIT in 2006 Swisscom IT Services sourced out all its activities for the finance sector to COMIT.
Rentenanstalt/Swiss Life is the oldest Swiss private life-insurance corporation. In early 2002, Ergon developed a 'WYSIWIG' XML editor as a Java Bean in a mere 5 weeks. Since then Ergon supports Swisslife within several projects. Parts of the internet portal are protected by AirLock and an Ergon authorisation solution.
Swissperform cares about the rights on payments of artists, program- and audiovision producers and broadcasting services. They often can not overview their own rights. These financial claims were perceived collectively by Swissperform. In 2003 Ergon built a complex and distributed Java application for the administration of the rights and the detailed disposition of the collected money.

Ergon developed for the telecom department of UBS the workflow, inventory and billing system WIBS. WIBS enables network services to be transparently, efficiently, and competitively accounted and billed for. The application is based on a webbased order management system, on a inventory system and on a data warehouse that models detailed cost data down to the level of employee and cost event.
UPC Austria is a leading service provider for internet, TV and telephony in Austria and is a subsidiary company of Liberty Global, Inc. and part of UPC Broadband Division. Für das Wholesale Portal gegenüber Resellern im B2B Bereich ist das Taifun Wholesale Portal im Einsatz. UPC uses the Taifun Wholesale portal for its resellers in the business to business section.
UPC PT Netherlands is a leading service provider for internet, TV and telephony in Netherland and is a subsidiary company of Liberty Global, Inc. and part of UPC Broadband Division. UPC PT Netherlands uses Taifun for service fulfilment and as overall billing solution for its SOHO/SME business to business services.
In 2006 Ergon received two consultancy mandates from VBZ Züri-Linie, the Zurich transport network – one as a consultant for the acquisition of the new S-POS system (Self-Service Point of Sale) and the other for the compilation of the requirements specification for software for planning work shift schedules.
Versatel AG is one of the leading alternative suppliers of telecommunications services in Germany. Ergon implemented for Tesion, today Versatel Süd-Deutschland, in 1998 in a record time of only 7 months a complete order-entry, customer-billing, and intercarrier-billing solution. Since then further products came in addition and are partially company-wide in use, above all the online billing system based on Ergons product TelcoBill - an innovative alternative to conventional paper invoices.
VP Bank is a leading Liechtenstein private bank and offers comprehensive products and services - from private banking and institutional asset management to corporate business and a wide range of investment funds. Ergon has supported VP Bank in developing its CRM system and is also involved in different other projects, especially with database know-how.
Wasserwerke Zug AG (WWZ) has implemented Ergon's Taifun solution so that it can offer telephony, Internet and digital television services from one single source to more than 70,000 customers. This tailored solution has made it possible to simplify the existing system landscape at WWZ and what is more, consolidation on the Taifun system has also cut operating costs.
