The combination of our technical know-how and the broad experience in various business fields make us different from classical business consulting companies. Not only do we know how to solve a problem, usually we have already implemented a similar solution. That is the reason why we always aim for an implementation providing a maximum benefit for the customer.
The high qualification of our employees makes a big difference. Commitment paired with over 20 years of experience allows us to give most useful advice to our customers. The topics security, mobile, architecture and public transportation belong to our core competences.

For the IT services of the Swiss Post, mobility is an essential factor for success. By order of the Swiss Post, Ergon created an internal roadmap on “Mobile Applications and Services”. This concept was developed in close relationship with the affected departments and covers current and future aspects such as security, connectivity and services.
The canton Graubünden offers the GraubündenCard as a contactless electronic ticket based on RFID in its public transportation facilities. Rhätische Bahn decided in 2005 to equip its personnel with the new Zugpersonalgerät (ZPG II) that Ergon developed for SBB. It was therefore essential that the ZPG II could be used to control the GraubündenCard when the software was appropriately enhanced. In the step that followed, a productive solution was developed, which is in use today on the railway system of Rhätischen Bahn.
In December 2005 SBB launched their MobileTicket product for mobile phones. Ergon played an essential role in the engineering process of this innovative ticket solution by providing support for security, mobile technologies and testing. The mobile tickets are checked by the Zugpersonalgerät device (ZPG II), which Ergon enhanced for SBB by including the corresponding services.
Ergon has extensive experience in the public transport sector, particularly with ticketing systems and portable ticket issuing systems. The new ZPGII train personnel device has become established on the Swiss rail network after a year of active use, very much to SBB’s satisfaction.
In 2006 Ergon received two consultancy mandates from VBZ Züri-Linie, the Zurich transport network – one as a consultant for the acquisition of the new S-POS system (Self-Service Point of Sale) and the other for the compilation of the requirements specification for software for planning work shift schedules.
